Tell us about your family.
Five children, living in Arkansas and loving it! My kids are the inspiration behind my writing
What is your non-writing career?
I Teach English as a Second Langauge at the University of Arkansas. I have also lived abroad teaching in China and Scotland.
Why do you write?
I write because I feel inspired to help parents (including myself!) have the tools they need to get their kids to jump into scripture study—even at a early age.
Do you let anyone see your work before it's finished? Why or why not?
Yes, in fact, I often post samples from upcoming workbooks and materials on my site and the feedback from parents using it has helped improve the final product!
How do you keep up with what kids today are like?
I still have five kids at home and they “test” everything I write! I also love to have feedback from parents and kids using my workbooks. That has really helped improve my products.
What are you working on now? Sometime this fall, I hope to complete Discover the Life of Christ, which will focus on the events in the four Gospels and the book of Acts.
